Etcetera was born out of a unique blend of creativity, resilience, and a focus on cruelty-free practices. Founded by Ashima Gulati, an interior design consultant with over 25 years of experience, the brand has become a symbol of innovation in design and ethics in fashion.
During COVID-19, when the lives of designers stood still, Ashima took her creative vision in a new direction. At the age of 57, she began designing functional and fashionable bags, applying her expertise in textiles and fabrics. A small experiment soon grew into something bigger, thanks to the originality and craftsmanship involved. The appreciation it received encouraged her to turn this idea into a brand. That is how Etcetera began its journey.

We challenge the old assumption that leather means luxury. Rather, we emphasize on the use of eco-friendly materials like loom fabrics, jute, canvas, denim, and vegan leather. Our highly skilled teams of karigars (artisans) and designers are constantly collaborating to try out new plant-based materials and innovative textiles.
